  • Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of our clients and counsellors.

  • If your counsellor has concerns for your safety or the safety of others due to a disclosure you have made during a session, your counsellor will discuss with you the appropriate referrals that potentially need to be made to an external authority. i.e Oranga Tamariki, the NZ Police or similar.

 

4. Data Security:

We implement various security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration. These measures include encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy.

Specifically Let's Talk NZ will retain your personal information in a secure file for 10 years following the final session with your counsellor as required by New Zealand law.

  • Withdrawal: You can withdraw consent at any time, but this may impact our ability to provide counselling services.
